Life with AI: An Introduction

Life with AI: An Introduction
Hey, it's me!

We’re living through a phase shift. The tools that helped you do your job last year might take your job next year. I kept looking for stories about what that feels like but all I found were stories about dystopian collapse, or Silicon-Valley techno-utopian hype. There wasn’t anything well grounded. As a father watching my kids grow up into this uncertainty, I needed something more realistic. So I started writing.

Life with AI is a documentary-style anthology following a host of characters across 2025 to 2030. This is the window in which AI will noticeably reshape work, medicine, education, and daily life. Through interviews conducted by an evolving AI named Viktor, we witness ordinary people navigating the transition. Who thrives? Who gets left behind? How do we find meaning in the middle?

I’m writing this in collaboration with artificial intelligence: Claude and Gemini. All of the ideas and the final decisions are mine. The AI acts as researcher, editor, and sounding board. I’m not hiding this because that’s the point: humans and AI learning to work together.

These stories are based on real research. We used economic projections, policy analysis, and technology roadmaps (I maintain a running bibliography if you’re curious). But we took that and translated it into human experience. If you’re anxious about how AI will reshape your world, I hope these stories offer earned hope rather than false comfort. If you’ve already been affected and want to share your story, please reach out.

The first story begins with a man named Marcus as ninety seconds change his life.
